Today we also celebrated our Team Rally for Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, where we focused on setting goals and leading with purpose. Congratulations to our Leaders of the Month!
Great performance by our 2nd graders this week!
A huge shout-out to our 2025 Spelling Bee Champion, Audrey Goeckeler, our reigning champ from last year and to our runner-up, Isaiah Hamilton, for an amazing performance! We are so proud of all our classroom finalists who showed incredible courage, confidence, and skill. You spelled your hearts out and lifted one another up with true Bulldog spirit.
- November 13th : Family Event (Grandparent included) 6pm-7pm! RSVP with your teacher. Join us for an evening full of kindness, connection and fun. You can grab a slice of pizza, a cookie, and water and then enjoy activities in the classrooms.
- If you family is experiencing hardship or needs assistance with food, basic needs or other community resources, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Social Worker- Kathryn Goos at kgoos@bssd.net She is here to help connect you with available supports.
- The free and reduced meal application is always available for households to apply at any time. This includes income changes, furlough, and other challenges. If the shutdown impacts your family, we encourage you to apply for school meal benefits through SchoolCafe.
- Due to the generosity of many local organizations and the collaborative efforts of the Gallon of Gratitude challenge, William Yates Elementary would like to assist some families who are experiencing hardships this holiday season. If you are in need of any holiday assistance, please fill out the linked form below.
- We are able to provide 15 families with Thanksgiving Food Baskets this year, if you are interested in receiving a Thanksgiving Food Basket, please fill out the form linked below.
- All requests for assistance will be kept anonymous. We will do our best to fulfill needs of many of our families however the amount of resources we receive are limited. If your family is placed on a waiting list a school counselor or social worker will be in contact with you. We hope your family enjoys the holidays and takes some time to make some memories!
