William Yates Elementary has had so much to celebrate this week! We were honored to recognize two outstanding educators, Karin Maybell and Nicole Johnson, for 25 years of dedicated service to the Blue Springs School District. We are so grateful for the love, stories, and kind words their colleagues shared to honor the lasting impact Karin and Nicole have made on Bulldog Nation!
We also celebrated our two rock star office ladies: our secretary, Kim Porterfield, and our receptionist, Amy Wilson. These two truly keep our school running smoothly each day, and we are so grateful for them.
A special highlight this week was celebrating our amazing volunteers who give their time and heart to support WYE through classrooms, field trips, PTA events, and so much more. You help make our learning community truly special!
Happy birthday shoutout goes to Grandma Karin, who celebrated her 89th birthday this week! Grandma Karin is a treasured volunteer who helps at WYE each day.
There has also been lots of excitement in 1st grade as baby chicks arrived!
We wrapped up MAP testing today. Way to go, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! We are so proud of your hard work and can’t wait to see your amazing learning reflected in your scores.
On the last day of school, one WYE tradition is for our 5th graders to take one final walk through the halls. We will begin at 12:20.
