BULLDOG Registration/Verification -Enrollment

Hello Bulldog Nation!!
Summer is quickly winding down, and we are excitedly preparing to welcome everyone back for the 2026–2027 school year! We are also excited to share that nearly half of our WYE families have already completed enrollment, way to go, Bulldog Nation!

The WYE office reopened this week, and Kim, Officer JD, our new Administrative Intern Katie Self, and I have been busy checking registration and residency verification and prepping for the new school. As we gear up for a great school year, please read the information below carefully to ensure your child(ren) are fully enrolled for the upcoming year.

For assistance with registration or residency verification for enrollment, please call our office at 874-3740. We will be in and out of the building for training over the next few weeks, so please call before stopping by to ensure someone is available to assist you.

Registration and Residency Verification for the 2026-2027 school year
Returning student registration and residency verification are due on August 7. By verifying your residency in the Blue Springs School District and completing the necessary online forms, Parent Portal you ensure your child will be placed in a class on the first day of school. Residency verification instructions and a video tutorial are available on our website.

If you do not have internet access, you may schedule an appointment to complete enrollment at WYE by calling 816-874-3740 or emailing our WYE secretary KPorterfield@BSSD.NET

To verify residency, you will need to upload one of the following to your parent portal:

  • Gas Bill (within the last 30 days)
  • Electric Bill (within the last 30 days)
  • Water Bill (within the last 30 days)
  • Current Lease agreement or Mortgage Statement
  • Signed and Dated Sales/Construction Contract Showing Possession/Closing Date

If you have a kindergarten student who participated in kindergarten enrollment/screening, residency verification (uploading documents listed above) is not required. However, please log in to the Parent Portal/Mobile App and ensure all forms are accurate and complete.

 If you moved over the summer and need to change schools, please get in touch with our office.

 WYE Important Dates:
August 7th:
·      Last day to complete enrollment.
August 11th:
·      Class Assignments open to Parents 5PM
August 20th:
  • 1st-5th Grade Open House/Curriculum Night from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Kindergarten Open House/Curriculum Night from 5-6 p.m.
August 25th:
  • First Day of School!!
